first week: LECTURES AND MAKE UP LESSONS

include approx. 2 days for going out

left about 2 weeks to study 30 chapters of everything (maths, physics, econs and chem)

AWE-SOME holiday ahead man

pray and hope that i can study finish all 30 topics!

i still don't really understand physics! and not just one chapter, but many chapters > GGTTM

:D GP paper is o-v-e-r!

it was super hard though, I was like stumped at nearly every question

only good thing was that I could manage my time well and had enough time to do every question

JUST THAT, I had nothing/nothing good to write

Class NE outing was kind of ...?

we all split for lunch cos couldn't decide on a place to eat

it rained for a while so we switched to wet weather plan = take circle line

i thought it was gona be awesome! cos I haven't taken the circle line before. But its just like taking the train from any other station (LOL)

then after completing our "circle line NE mission" which was to take a photo, we all went to orchard cos someone said we should just shop for that hour while waiting for 4 o' clock to come

we split up again somehow at orchard and walked round and round kind of aimlessly

me and esther were trying to take candid pictures of everyone, it was pretty hilarious

at 4 o' clock we all went to LIDO to watch "Robin Hood"

the popcorn was REALLY salty (mental note to self: PLEASE STICK TO SWEET!)

the entire cinema was filled up MJC people

they literally LOL-ed at the farnie ads and Woohoo-ed at any girl on the ads

the new pepsi ad was quite funny

at first i thought the movie was gona be bad, but it turned out quite okay!

just like an english version of "Red Cliff 1&2"! It was as long as a Red Cliff movie too, like 2.5 hours

the ending was not very nice though. okay maybe cos i hate endings? i duno. but not very nice if you asked me

there was this cool part where Robin Hood aimed and shot an arrow at this bad guy really really far away (he was trying to escape), and it bullseyed! okay neckeyed, cos it pierced right through the guy's throat

abit yuck, but still, WOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWW-AWESOME! O.O

i think this is gona be one of those rare posts that appear on my blog once in a blue moon since i'm so busy D:

because economics is REALLY hard to understand! for me at least..

today had the first chemistry lab session of the year

we did titrations which were pretty fun except for the fact that the goggles keep sliding down my nose all thanks to my spectacles

and i think the chem lab earned lots of money today since so many people dropped their glass conical flasks and all that

super tired these days because my average sleeping time per day is about 6-7 hours

i think my eyebags gona get bigger

(this is a really lagged post, but :D)

O Level results were not as expected, but still GOOD! :D

really all glory to God since the papers (e.g. english, physics, history, ss) were like ......... but i still got eleven

by the way, i got C5 for combined humanities

(YAH, the one where i studied three chapters and none came out)

good thing i didn't fail :D must be wonderful elit that saved me (HAHAHA)

and i still can't believe that i got the same grade as shermaine for history when she said she didn't study! and WOW, i studied!

shermaine = history genius

after getting back results, i spent the four days thinking and thinking whether i should apply for poly, MJC or SAJC

the highest richter scale headache i ever got in the whole sixteen years plus few months of my life

when i say i don't really wana go MJC, people start telling me all the good stuff about MJC and that it's so near my house and all that

and when i finally applied for MJC, other people ask me why i didn't apply for SAJC and that SAJC is a better school since its smart and happy

and i thought the headache would disappear after i made the decision..

anyway i think i got into MJC already :D (according to karen's online checking method)

my shoulders feel like they're gona dislocate from my body and fall off

spent most of the day after chem lesson in the library re-re-re-reading (not sure how many times i read it) river secrets

at 2pm, we had lots of briefings and stuff about graduation

but since me and grace were FAMISHED, we went to grab a bite at the only open stall > chicken rice!

and after so many years, I just realised that 1. they sell popcorn chicken

and 2. its really really really nice!

not really my fault that I don't know :D I rarely went for any of the recess this year

graduation was super boring

and I was so nervous to be going up on stage (though everyone had to go on stage) that on the way down, I was so relieved and actually skipped most of the way back

evan: so did I look very weird bowing?

grace: okay lah. you know you actually SKIPPED on the stage?!

yeah WEIRD

the rest of the program was as boring as .. something really boring (I can't think of something really boring now)

after that I had to lug home one box of guides cookies > 6 tins and a really really really really heavy bag (thanks to my precious chem textbook)

me and annabel skipped Emath Mock Exam and went to watch CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS!!!!

it was my first time watching in 3D

and truthfully I felt that watching this show in 3D was quite a waste of money

except for the fact that when the cheeseburgers started falling at the first part and it looked like you could actually catch one if you stuck out your hands, I thought that the other movie trailers like Coraline and Night Before Christmas had alot more 3D effects

but the show was nice! and really really funny! spastic sort of funny :D

there was this part of the show where I laughed like crazy, but I can't seem to recall which part it was D:

the whole of last week's attendance was pathetic but pretty much expected..

and halfway through the day people will just leave

Miss World Singapore Ris Low backs out of finals

SINGAPORE: Miss World Singapore winner Ris Low has confirmed that she has decided to back out of the finals in Johannesburg, South Africa in December.

Her decision comes after a slew of negative media reports. She was lambasted by the public for her poor English.

Later, news of her credit card conviction in May also surfaced which put her in the spotlight again.

Ms Low was sentenced to two years' probation for credit card fraud.

This threw up issues on whether she could or should represent the country.

When asked if she's finally bowing down to public pressure, the 19-year-old beauty queen said: "I feel that it would be better for everyone, including Singaporeans who are not very supportive of me going to this pageant.

“This is actually the best for everybody, including the company, the public and for myself. So yes, I have given it up because I think it's the best choice now."

While she didn't reveal when she came to the decision, Ms Low admitted that she's had thoughts of quitting for some time.

Miss Low said that ERM World, organiser of Miss Singapore World pageant, has been informed and supports her decision.

2. I FINALLY got to go ice-skating again! :D

BUT I fell down once because the jagged thing at the front of my skate blade got stuck in the ice, and due to inertia, my body continued moving forward while my feet were left behind

me and grace sat outside the hall while waiting for the bio students to finish their paper [i was reading about the HUMAN EYE from Junni's bio textbook]
resulted in Mr. TMT thinking we were bio students who had completed the bio paper
WHICH WAS REALLY WEIRD
because
1) only about half an hour had passed since the bio paper started and i think anyone who can finish the entire paper1 plus shading in just half an hour is a GENIUS
2) students are supposed to stay in the hall until the one hour is over and everyone's papers are collected, so obviously its quite impossible for TWO students to finish and leave before the paper ended
quite funny

went to Swensens at Ion Orchard to eat ice-cream buffet with karen, grace, prtprt, bp, lynn, josephine
first stop: cakes section!
i took a slice of oreo cheesecake (which was actually two slices, but i couldn't really see because of all the oreo), a slice of peach tart, and brownies plus marshmallows in chocolate fondue
by the time i finished everything except one small part of oreo cheesecake, i was stuffed
so i just ate all the oreo coating

second stop: ice-cream!
made some weirdly nice ice-cream flavour at the chop-shop station topped with a super nice banana and a waffle
this part was quite ironic since it was called an ICE-CREAM buffet and i ended up eating tons of everything else plus only ONE scoop of ice-cream
grace ate more than 10 scoops of ice-cream i think
it was quite hilarious to see her and josephine stuffing themselves with ice-cream, insisting that they had to hit 10 scoops to make their money worth
and prtprt also took a slice of oreo cheesecake and was slowly working through it with a semi-pained look on her face

after that i was back to the chocolate fondue with marshmallows and strawberries
then josephine told me the strawberries were spoilt O_O
everyone got so sick of eating so much sweet stuff that they went on a salt-craze and started eating vegetable sticks with heaps of salt and pepper
PRTPRT WAS EATING SALT
(i finally used my swensens voucher :D)

then we walked 6000 rounds around Ion's basements since it was so hard to find our way anywhere and there wasn't really any shop fit for us to go except artbox or probably WATSONS? there wasn't even a MACDONALDs! the mall too high-class for macs maybe
went to borders to read a book and stare at other books :D
and finally headed home
i was SO TIRED that my legs didn't even feel like walking

I hate E-learning.

but I hate being called back to school for normal lessons for two days next week even more. especially if those two days were supposed to be slots for sec4s to watch AYG.

CURRENTLY, I'M MEGA HATING MY SCHOOL.

As the first week of Term 3 is also the Asian Youth Games (AYG) Week, Sec 1 to 3 students will be able to participate in this once-in-a-life time programme. They will be given slots to watch the basketball matches and Home-Based Learning will also be carried out throughout the week. Sec 4 students will resume lessons as usual on 29 and 30 Jun and Home-Based Learning will continue from 1 to 3 July. Please ensure that your child carries out Home-Based Learning as given by the school. The GCE ‘O’ Level Oral for CL will commence as scheduled.

after charis and karen's bio SPA, we went to Eighteen Chefs to eat!

we couldn't get a seat inside so we had to sit outside

and everytime we thought that there were empty seats inside, I would go check

so you could imagine how silly I looked eh

once I even pushed the door while trying to open it when the sign distinctively said "PULL"

obviously that made charis and karen laugh at me AGAINN (haha, not as if they'd never laughed at me before xD)

THE GREAT TEXTBOOK EXPEDITION

then we went to Tampines 1 because charis wanted to look at stuff

(take note now, cos this part is very important for later! :D I hope I don't get the whole order wrong, haha--ohyah, mental note: charis was carrying her textbook)

First, we went to Uniqlo cos karen and charis wanted to look at the stuff there (their first time!)

Next, we went to the shop opposite Uniqlo because charis wanted to look at some box

Then, we went to the toilet on the first floor

And then, Diva

After that, we went to Urban Write and I bought a pen and two pen refills

Next, we went to Popular and went to the CDs section where CHARIS PICKED UP A PHONE CALL (wow, she was holding a FAT FAT TEXTBOOK and had enough free hands to pick up a phone call? let it roll around your heads first!)

at the foolscap section, charis FINALLY REALISED THAT HER BIO TEXTBOOK WASN'T IN HER HANDS

so....

we walked like 3 rounds around Popular trying to find it and asked the cashiers at both counters if they'd seen it

next, we went all the way back to Tampines 1 AGAIN - Urban Write(that was the place we went to before going to Popular), walked all around and of course asked the cashiers if they'd seen the YELLOW TEXTBOOOOK

while we were trying to ask charis where she last left it,

charis suddenly exclaimed: "THE TOILET!!!! I LEFT MY TEXTBOOK IN THE TOILET CUBICLE!"

so we went back to the first floor toilet and waited outside while charis waited inside for the person in HER cubicle to come out

people streamed in, there were 1000 flushes, people streamed out

and so amazingly, whoever that was in her cubicle was taking eternity to finish whatever she was doing

by the time she finally emerged from her hole, 10 hours had passed and charis was already debating if she should clobber the person or glare at her

and surprise, surprise, after taking a look in the toilet, the textbook wasn't in that cubicle

then we went to Uniqlo and the shop opposite Uniqlo and asked around

we even tried searching Diva, which was quite funny because Diva was wayyy to small and there was no place to misplace a textbook in there at all!

finally we decided to go back to the toilet and try checking every cubicle just in case charis's memory was failing and she remembered the wrong cubicle (LOL!)

still, it wasn'tttttt thereeeeeeee!

then charis had a bright idea! CHECK THE INFORMATION COUNTERRR!

charis: excuse me, but did anyone find a bio textbook here?

lady gives knowing smile and leaves her seat. checks the area and opens a thin drawer.

me (thinks): ohyes! finally found it! ohwait, why is she opening that thin drawer? the fat bio textbook can't possibly fit into it RIGHT? ahhhh, don't tell me she's gona ask charis to fill up some missing article form or something then call her when they find it right? LOL.

lady continues search and pulls out a file, flips to a page and finally comes to a drawer where she FISHES OUT THE FAMILIAR LOOKING FAT YELLOW TEXTBOOK!

HAHA, midyears are FINALLY over after nearly three weeks of [exams + exams x exams ^exams]

a total of fifteen papers, excluding chinese listening and E&C orals! WOW!

quite amazing that I actually lived through all THAT

okay actually I didn't do much studying, maybe that's why

today's chem and phys paper I was quite okay = do-able. except for the second last physics question where I saw the labelling wrongly and gave the right answer for the wrong part. so technically I could've gotten it right but because I was careless I didn't! boo.

anyway chem SPA skill III tomorrow! (this is the real thing counted for O levels!)

I hope its easy. I don't care if everyone does well too, just hope I do!!

and Miss. Chan is returning chem papers after spa tomorrow! OOOOOH!

AMath paper II today!

generally good, cos I managed to finish the paper

then a little bad, cos although I finished the paper, I didn't know how to do a few questions (20 marks worth! 20% of the paper II already!)

example: Integrate (tanx)^2

Mr. Chan taught us how to do it once during class, but somehow when I looked at that question, I couldn't figure it out

but it's okay, I found out that like a thousand other people didn't know how to do it either :D

and I'm starting to doubt if I would do well cos I keep thinking about the paper, and realising that I was careless for this question, didn't write something for another question, blahblah..

so irritating

that's the bad part about having only one paper a day, it says on your mind FOREVER

I managed to finish the whole paper except two questions

the ones where you wrote your own opinions, but I couldn't think of any examples and I also ran out of time

English and SS paper today

I didn't finish english summary

reason: I overshot by roughly 50 words (I wrote in pencil first) so I was wondering which parts to cut out since I figured everything contributed to the 15 content points

then I didn't have enough time to write it out in pen (and spent ages rubbing off the pencil words while teacher was collecting the scripts)

how silly

moral of the story: write in pen, then cross out the excess :D

as for Social Studies, this time I don't have to THINK I failed. I kinda know it.

sad, because I spent ages studying Venice and ends up I didn't even choose The Venice Question even though it came out. grah!

plus I couldn't understand most of the sources, their purposes and all that

about North Korea, United States, nuclear bomb,..

but its true, humans isn't really my thing

went out with my mom and sister to watch "The Ramen Girl"

after that my family went to celebrate mother's day in advance

regret it? YES, QUITE. grace made the equally killer sihan sound so much easier

anyway for the first time (I think), I wrote one and a half pages--including format stuff, which is practically record breaker length! SO SHORT!

but I found out karen and biaopig did gonghan too, and about that length. SO PHEW

I hope CWY doesn't make too many comments when she marks my paper (if she does..)

TUESDAY

2.4KM run!

the worse one out of all my four secondary school years

super bad leg ache, headache, sore neck, numb feet and so on..

BOO. I never had such terrible after-effects before!

anyway, my placing this year was 20 places behind last year's (55th)

something really cool: my placings every year are all multiples of 5! (150, 35, 35, 55) :D

after that, priscilla gave me a lift home and I ate Macs in her dad's car (I was FAMISHED after the run!)

and we talked about millions of no-link stuff :D

TODAY!

Chemistry Test > 1st period

Miss Chan kept explaining more and more stuff about electrolysis just before the test that it made me a little confused

it was kind of disrupting the order of my "Chem Thoughts"

I nearly jumbled up the positive and negative terminals and anode and cathode of simple cell and electrolytic cell

grace didn't read the last question properly and ended up filling it up with metals she picked from the reactivity series herself and not the ones given

but super coincidentally, she had picked most of the ones given in the question! SO COOL! :D

after school, I went home with grace

Evan was tired, thus she wanted to take the bus = go by 长城 and WALK DOWN 118 STEPS

however, the thought of climbing down 118 steps with a killer leg-ache wasn't THAT tempting

(can you imagine, since my school is practically covered with staircases, I had "SO MUCH FUN" getting tortured by all the stair-climbing)

then, SUPER GRACE came to the rescue and offered to carry my Physics Textbook if we went by the 长城! so, YAY!!!!

TIP: If you're aching all over/ carrying loads of heavy stuff, TAKE THE BUS! :D

school lessons seem to crawl by the second

but everyday seems to pass by so quickly

how weird..

I got my new EZ-link card after school!

1. the new card background is super ugly

2. they used my primary six picture! (D:) I looked like a complete weirdo in that

at least shermaine, grace and josephine looked CUTE in primary six! truthfully speaking, I'd rather have my sec1 photo on the card than my primary six photo! (though both of them look quite !!!)

Today I watched 17 Again with Shermaine, Grace and JOSEPHINE

and wow, sitting next to josephine was definitely an experience!

I can safely say that I have found someone who's as noisy and loud as me in the cinema :D

whenever Zac Efron came on-screen, Josephine would SQUEALLLLLLL and ..(you-get-the-point)

but it was quite true he looked kinda nice on-screen :D

after the movie I got a headache and it felt really bad

so I just went to Macs, found a table, and slept there :P

after tuition my headache got a little better but my left eye was feeling super SORE, it hurt for me to wear my spectacles

heh, so now I'm wearing my spare (LAO-POK) spectacles! :D

2.4KM run tomorrow

I don't think I'll be able to get a high placing.. I feel so draggy these few weeks, like my legs weight a ton each

sec1 I got 150th, sec2 and sec3 I got 35th, so for this year, I should probably get 150th again to end it off nicely! :D

Thinking Day's this Friday!

so today we had Thinking Day Preparation (TDP) and had to stay in fall in position for 10 minutes, which was bad enough, THEN 25 minutes, which was OHMYGOODNESS

This morning at about 5AM, I woke up to go to the toilet

This was what we watched during SEL lesson today

The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch (who already died, if I'm not wrong)

about achieving his childhood dreams and how he faced the brickwalls on the way

by the way, his childhood dreams are cool! one of them was: being in zero gravity!

and amazingly, he found a way to achieve that! well, for only 25 seconds though (of course not forever! or else he'd be floating in the video)

Some parts are boring, some parts are not. If you're planning to watch this, you should probably get some popcorn or something to last you through, and be prepared to stare at the computer screen for 1hour16minutes27seconds (excluding video loading time)

English Diagnostic test was a disaster!

we only had a 45 minute long period, no extra time, to write a composition on the given topics

It might sound alright, but the bad part was that Mrs. Chew NAGGED and made up clear up the class before she let us start (NOTE: NO EXTRA TIME)

and not to mention, the topics were DIFFICULT..

I spent ages deep in thought while my pen was held in mid-air, drying up by the second xD

I made a worthy record of completing a composition in 25 minutes (about the quality, I'm not so sure.. :P)

sadly, I still haven't watched Red Cliff 2.

Firstly, on monday there was the posting of O level results, and sec4s HAD to be there. Thus, 2.30PM show, GONE.

Secondly, I had my first Physics Tuition lesson at 6.ooPM, and since the show was gona be more than 2 hours.. 3.50PM show, GONE.

I LOST MY VOICE

now I sound awful!

yesterday my throat was sore, and today, it got so much worse

OUCH, it feels like there's a ping-pong ball stuck in my throat!

during the service today, we did a Trust-fall!

It wasn't the first time I was doing it, but it still freaked me out ALOT

Just in case any of you reading didn't know, it's high time you found out.

I HAVE A MAJOR PHOBIA OF HEIGHTS

even if it's just a table plus a chair high

when I got on top, first thing I remember doing was scream: "SO HIGH!!!!!!!!!"

I can vaguely remember what other silly things I did up there, besides grabbing Jingyu's (I think that's her name) hands really tightly, and YES I was tearing ;D

before I fell back I just screamed: "I'm gona fall now! PLEASE CATCH ME!"

then POOF!

I don't think I fell straight though :D

Turns out I didn't get a green form today! :D

Today's Physics Lab was the most boring and most complicated one on earth

Skill 3: We had to plan our own experiment D:

Just during this short period of time, I got a million headaches! (I didn't even know that was possible!)

After school, I stayed back to help tie the table and chair for CCA Orientation tomorrow

I don't think I did much, except cutting twine, cutting loose ends, supporting the poles, holding handphones for people, and only tying knots when I was needed

because I know I'm not very good at square lashes and I can't tie a nice one for nuts

when we were FINALLY done, I invaded tons of pictures that Yijing and Pamela were trying to take of the table and chair :D

I've got a new physics teacher and his name is Mr. Lee Jie Han

Karen and the rest says he's a good teacher, so I hope my physics improves!

haha, and he had this really SHOCKED face when he found out that some of the people in our class set B4 as their physics O level target (including me :D)

but no more Mr. Ong also equals to no more slack physics lessons!

Talking about Mr. Ong, he made another great performance at yesterday's prize-giving for teachers, just like how he never fails to every time he gets an award

he was grinning from ear to ear when he got up from his seat, and the first thing he did was to wave at all the students as though he was this super famous guy

then after receiving his certificate, he held it in one hand and waved it in the air and bowed, still grinning like a mad cat

you could say that out of all the teachers, he got the loudest applause and cheers

but the irony is, he isn't the best teacher

after so many years, i finally realized why that is so

although he's not the best teacher, he's super funny, slack, and most of all, he has the thickest skin around!

My new year's resolutions for 2009:

1. Not be be late ever again. (which i've been keeping to since the 1st of Jan 2009! YAY!)

2. Study hard for my O levels (*OUCH, i hate studying)

This year's O levels! and yes, that was the first thing i told myself on the 1st of Jan!

Since i MIGHT be torturing myself by mugging like crazy this year, i shall promise myself to party like crazy after my O levels! :D (which shouldn't be a problem, unless i believe that i've majorly flunked my O's which means its a pretty bad case :D)

I'M MORE THAN HALFWAY DONE WITH MY HOLIDAY HOMEWORK! :D

Charis, Annabel and me went homeworking-cum-rollerblading at ECP

when I asked Annabel, her response was: "Hey! That's a really cool idea! Yay, I always wanted to do homework by the beach.."

Good news to me as I, for once, am nearly done with my chinese book! HURRAY!!!

I shall TRY to finish my 作文 tonight!

As usual, Annabel's attire for the day never failed to make me comment on it/make me laugh

She arrived looking just like a sports coach, complete with those weird sunglasses, sports shirt and shorts, and those stretchy knee things

This is also one of those rare times when Annabel puts aside her "Fat People Wear Baggy Clothes To Hide Their Fatness" theory

now you know why i never fail to comment on her dressing, baggy clothes just make her look even fatter than her actual size!

Me and Charis also went up the Bouganvillea Building on our blades! :D (while Annabel slacked downstairs)

but I had a hard time trying to get down or blade down the slope which went round and round and round and round and round! plus the down at the same time!

HOMEWORK DAY

i feel like an accomplished fat pig! :D

accomplished because i have FINALLY finished my chinese 公函!

and for a chinese bobo like me, THAT'S A BIG THING!

as for the fat pig part, it mostly came from eating masses of chocolates today

i'm usually not very into chocolates unless they're my favourite brands, LIKE RITTERSPORT :D

but today, i ate 7/8 (i lost count) ferrero rochers and lots of mini toblerones

and a chicken nugget student meal (drink change to ice lemon tea) for lunch

miraculously, although i have eaten my record of FIVE WHOLE EGGS in THREE DAYS during camp, have been rummaging my kitchen cupboards for something to eat every single hour of the day (except when i'm sleeping) and feel hungry an hour right after i've eaten any meal, I'VE ONLY PUT ON 1KG DURING THIS WHOLE HOLIDAY!

YAY TO ME! :D

how did i know? i found out during caroling!

when we were eating after singing at Cmdr. San Ho's house (which is gi-normous and fabulously pretty), Ahma Jane found a weighing scale!

HAHA!

so i'm only 50kg now! :D and to think i thought i put on almost 4 kg!

according to that BMI thing, i can still afford to put on 3 - 4 kgs given my height! :D

but of course i'm not going to!

it's Prtprt's birthday tomorrow! and we're going out to celebrate!

I FINALLY WENT ROLLERBLADING TODAY!

YAY! :D

(i can now strike that off my to-do list! but i still wana go ice-skating, haha!)

it was super random, because i was expecting a sms from grace and when my phone suddenly vibrated at 9.00AM

but it wasn't grace though, it was Anna asking me if i wanted to go rollerblading because she felt like it

and my first thought was: "... ... ...", then: "OHYAY!", and then: "wait, is she kidding?"

WAHA! turns out we really went :D

and it was so fun!!!!!!!!!!!!! but super tiring

i haven't rollerbladed in ages and it felt really nice to go rollerblading again :D

(and the skates i rented were nicer! i have no idea why)

after shedding off some fats from the 2 hours of exercise, i think i replenished the fats plus a bonus from lunch, Lol

IM BACK!

(like a day ago, but i was too lazy to post until now)

heehee, but i guess everyone knows i'm back because obviously it's the 15th of december :D

5 things about my trip/Japan:

1. I SAW SNOW! (falling, not falling, powder, and after-rain snow)

2. I WENT SKIING! (and fell about 10 times)

3. I WENT TO TOKYO DISNEYLAND! (and the ride "It's a small world" is officially my most favourite ride in there! :D)

4. My sister slept in the cupboard on the last night (just because she could fit right in and she felt like it)

5. I got a super cute model plane and postcards of the ANA flight i took! (it was from this really nice japanese air stewardess who's sort of a SINGAPORE FAN and started talking to us and giving us all the souvenirs from the plane after she found out we were from Singapore! we didn't even have to ask for it!)

these are the first five things that came to my mind

of course there were loads more, but my fingers refuse to go beyond five points :D

okay, two more.

6. Every toilet i went to in Japan didn't run out of toilet paper, and wasn't close to running out (I LOVE JAPAN TOILETS! :D)

7. Though no fines are imposed for littering and dustbins are pretty hard to find [to me], the Japanese rarely litter! (AMAAA-ZING!)

Stuff i have/want to complete/do by the 31st of december:

1. ALL MY HOMEWORK!

2. finish reading the new testament

3. read beyond ONE PAGE of the two [!!!] chinese storybooks that are determined to give me a mega headache

4. go running at least ONCE

5. GO ROLLERBLADING/ICE SKATING (I REALLY REALLY REALLY WANT TO!!!!!!)

THURSDAY:
Annual Camp is finally over!
after 76 [+ about 6.5] hours of camp and cleaning up/slacking after camp
the most tiring Annual Camp i'd ever had
till i was practically sleeping at every single place i could
bunk floor, grotto floor, canteen bench, concourse table, traffic light
excluding nap times stated above, i only had about 12 hours of sleep? i think. it sounds so little, maybe i miscalculated :D
but it was the most interesting Annual Camp
and the funniest campfire on earth
MUAHAHA, and i found out loads of hilarious stuff like who peed/pooped in their pants in primary school :D and what deborah would do if the toilet lights went off while she was bathing, (something i totally didn't expect) she said she would SCREAM XD
i can't imagine her screaming..

on the last day a few of us also had to clean up a whole lot of sai after the camp
untying the un-untie-able slacker's tent after the previous night's rain
dragging the fattest load of newspapers i'd ever seen up a long flight of stairs (from the field up to the grotto)
yijing said we should sell it all to a garang-guni man and split the money between us! haha!

Yet another flag day
i'm starting to get so used to saying "Hello/Excuse me, would you like to donate?" week after week after week, that i think i can stick out my can and blurt it out to some passerby without even thinking
but amazingly, i enjoyed today's flag day! and it was the most fruitful one in my entire life
for starters, i finished all the stickers given! :D
anyone who wants to have a short and sweet flag day and yet not return with an almost empty can, i would suggest going to Bugis Street's temple and plonking yourself at the exit for a few hours
the people there are MUCH MORE GENEROUS THAN SMOO PEOPLE! :D

after roughly 2 hours of what yijing calls "BEGGING", me and tantan finished all our stickers plus a few more donations from this super nice auntie and a little child who disappointingly left without a sticker
the little kids are one of my biggest customers! (RIGHT AFTER THE ELDERLY)
they love to DOINK the coins [parent language] and then just stand there and stare at you. translating that STARE, it means : could you please pluck a sticker off your can and put on my finger?

after returning the cans (the lady said my can was the HEAVIEST! MUAHAHA!), me and tantan went to the Popular Bookfest at Suntec Convention Centre
i'd been dying to go since it started and i finally got the chance! and on the second last day too!
so coindentally, (HEEHEE) rui en was going to make an appearance there at about 5.30pm
which was about the time we reached :D

we walked down all the stationery displays, testing highlighters, pens, flipping through notebooks, diaries, fulscap papers and grabbing the stuff we wanted (as well as dumping them on a random shelf the moment we decided we didn't want them anymore. not very nice, i know.. :P)

i managed to catch lots of glimpses of rui en while she was having her album autograph session
actually i just stood at a really nice spot watching (REALLY NICE SPOT, since the whole area had barriers all around, and from where i stood, her head was at least ping-pong ball huge--quite big!), and guess what!
SHE LOOKS PRETTY IN REAL LIFE TOO! so no photoshop there.. :D
one comment: the emcee talked far too much

i would've gone up to get her autograph IF I COULD
since it was her album autograph session, OBVIOUSLY you had to get her album in order to go up
it was pretty orderly, because only a small number of people wanted to buy her album
more kiamsiap people like me would probably think 10 times before getting an album with her autograph on it
if it were an ordinary autograph session, most likely i'd have queued for it
but then again, the place would probably be streaming with people, and the stage collapsing from the crazy weight XD
and i might have to fight off about fifty other random people, also wanting her autograph, just to stand in a 200-people long line for six hours just to wait for the prize: standing in front of rui en with her asking me for my name and she writing (or scribbling) it on a sheet of fulscap paper along with a side note which says "加油!" and her really fancy signature
the fulscap paper? i'd most probably laminate it, frame it up, and stick it on my wall for the rest of my life
now thinking about it, it's not really worth it
at least i got a thousand glimpses of her today :D
it's not everyday someone like me gets to stare at a celebrity for 10-15 minutes

so i know i did badly
it's just that i KNOW the meanings of the phrases and vaguely know what the sentences are like, BUT i just CAN'T phrase it out nicely!
and anything i don't know, i just replace it with 东西 (my two favourite chinese words), heh :D
i gave up trying to form the sentences in my head, because they all sounded rather absurd to me
i could already imagine the teacher either laughing, or smacking her head and going "ALAMAK!"
so i decided that it was better to spare me the embarassment and not write it down :S

Miss. Chan didn't come today, and as usual, Mr. Khong took over
grace and i deduced that Mr. Khong needed to get a bigger shirt, or one with longer sleeves.. :P
but ever since Miss. Chan's TRUSTY ASSISTANT/徒弟 (Mr. Khong) came, she seemed more willing to take breaks and leave it to him
last time, she BARELY took leave and even came to teach with a SORE THROAT when no one could hear her and she kept poking the poor whiteboard with her marker in a fit of anger, leaving a big concentrated dot of dark ink on that spot

guess WHAT, a miracle happened during Physics lesson today!
EVAN LISTENED DURING LESSON! and it was a whole two period long lesson, mind you!
after Mr. Ong caught ShangBo playing his PSP under the table, he made him complete the second half of a question on the board
obviously ShangBo hadn't been listening at all, so he didn't have a single clue how to do it
and physics lesson ended with Mr. Ong getting all pissed off and screaming at ShangBo
yes, literally SCREAMING/shouting
till ShangBo FINALLY completed the question, 5 minutes into the next lesson
and of course the rest of 3C in bio class got to see the show too

we went to TEN during english and watched the movie version of "The Kiterunner"
it was cool, the kite-flying parts..
but there was this scene where Hassan, this little boy who was another little boy's servant, got RAPED by this tall skinny guy, Assef (according to Mdm. Norliza, he's GAY and ___ {i forgot the word, but it starts with S})
Mdm. Norliza also said the scene was DISTURBING
yea, i agree. though i didn't really get what was going on at first till grace explained to me

one word to sum up recess, HORRIBLE
only three stalls were open: malay (which i don't eat), kopitiam (which doesn't make you full) and vegetarian (which evan liked)
but the vegetarian stall was FLOODED with people, and its service was super slow so the queues were practically crawling at 6m/h?
i deduced this from how annabel and suanching, the persistent MUST-EATers, who queued till the bell rang but they were only a 2 to 3 metres away from the front of the stall at the beginning

time creeped through history lesson and Miss. Khoo didn't come for SS :D
a perfect way to end the day, i'd say
me and grace chionged through the work assigned during the two period lesson (a miracle too! usually we don't bother doing it at all) then we managed to squeeze in 3 rounds of 'Five' with peiyun before the bell rang

(Five is an improvised version of 'Seven' that's originally played with poker cards, just that we play it using UNO cards because poker cards aren't allowed in school) :D

today i went to the National Library at Aljunied
and i'm glad to say, I HAVE FINALLY PAID OFF ALL MY FINES and can officially borrow books again!
i found the book "Anna and the King" and borrowed it and i'm halfway through it right now..

but to do it, i had to walk from the library all the way to Aljunied MRT to top-up my EZ-link card, so that i could pay off my fines (there wasn't enough moolah in the card to pay off my MOUNTAIN HIGH worth of debts..)
on my way back to the library, i met Yiting and Pearlene
and pearlene went: "uh, why is she going that way? where did she come from?"
LOL, like i just popped out of the ground and suddenly decided to defy all forces and walk against the flow of people heading towards the MRT Station.

and at last, i paid of my fines and managed to borrow the book
it sure was a tiring walk!
not to mention that i had to walk BACK to the MRT Station AGAIN to go home.

we missed the first two periods thanks to the staff's annual dinner yesterday night! (YAY! I LOVE STAFF DINNERS! :D)

today, was also the finals for the art students' fashion show!
which totally pissed me off
firstly, because i wanted to go SO BADLY because grace said they looked nice (i went for last year's and it was not bad!)
secondly, i didn;t manage to get an excuse letter to leave school early to go.. (HOW'D YOU GET ONE ANYWAY? Lol.)
thirdly, 3E students got to leave early - THREE PERIODS EARLIER - to go to the fashion show BECAUSE their form teacher was in-charge. (totally, UNFAIR!! i wish their form teacher was mine just for that few seconds so i would be able to go! xD)
fourthly, (which pissed me off the MOST OF THE MOST) the fashion show was already O-V-E-R by the time we ENDED SCHOOL! comeON man, i haven't even left school and it ENDED? jaw-drops. jaw dropser. jaw dropsest. THEN i felt like kicking someone! LITERALLY. but good thing i didn't, or else i would've gotten into a big fat load of trouble instead. SIGHHHHHHH

it took me a LONG time to get over it. LOL
sorry karen, for that LOOOONG antagonizing walk down the hill with me xD
